Oh hey! And welcome to this special Halloween edition on the QKatie channel. If you can’t tell, I’m a unicorn. A groovy disco unicorn! I’m going to make a halloween dessert treat! Ok…that’s intense. I don’t know… I don’t know how long I can keep that up, you guys. So this is a halloween video and though I would, you know, get dressed up for you guys! That’s how much I like you. In all seriousness, halloween treats are kinda gross, right? Like, I love the idea of the dirt with the worms coming out. But when you think about what’s in it, it’s store-bought whipped cream, store bought chocolate pudding. I came up with something really delicious. Um, Katie likes them, and so does Groovy Disco Unicon! So let’s make them. Alright so first get two bananas. You want them to be pretty ripe, you’ll see the brown spots. Pop those in the freezer. Once they are frozen through, take them out of the freezer. Let the bananas de-thaw for just a minute so. While they’re de-thawing, get your Annie’s organic grabbits. These are chocolate sandwich cookies. They don’t have any artificial flavors, synthetic colors, preservatives or high-fructose corn syrup. They are so delicious. Annie’s really nailed it with this one. You could do the chocolate sandwich cookies or the mint chocolate sandwich cookies. Either way, it’s an organic take on the sandwich cookie. Put them in a plastic bag and then smash them with a rolling pin. So now you’ve got crumbs and keep those to the side. Cut off the peel pop those in your blender. Take a heaping tablespoon of peanut butter and add that. Blend the two things together and there is your super healthy ice cream! But we want this to be a Halloween dessert, so we’re gonna add in the crumbs. And if you want to get extra spooky, you can top them with bunnies and bats and halloween buddy grams. You know, it’s really fitting that I’m doing a halloween video and outside it got super dark, overcast, stormy looking. It’s still early afternoon here in Brooklyn! So you may have heard of the one ingredient ice cream before: frozen bananas bada-bing bada-boom; blend them up and they’re awesome. I love adding peanut butter to it because I think peanut butter banana is an incredible combination and then to mash up some Grabbits. I think that that is unicorn dirt! Alright friends as always you know what I want you to do. I want you to keep it quirky. And thanks to Annie’s for sponsoring this post. Their products are delicious without any spooky ingredients.
