Today I will be making atta ka ladoo. This is a rich sweet dessert or snack. There are so many variations of ladoos. Ladoos are made using different flours, milk or nuts. Atta ka ladoos is commonly made in every household. This is a simple recipe with few ingredients but the texture and taste is amazing. This recipe will make 18 ladoos and will serve 6. For making ladoos we will need these ingredients. 1 cup whole wheat flour or roti ka atta 1 cup fine sugar 1/2 cup of clarified butter or ghee 1/3 cup roughly ground almonds 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder First I will dry roast the flour over low medium heat. Stir continuously until this is a very light golden brown. And that should take about 6-7 minutes. It has been about 6 minutes and flour as changed the colour very lightly and it has a very nice aroma. So I will add the almonds. And roast it again for about 2-3 minutes. This has been about 3 minutes. So I will add the clarified butter or ghee. And again you have to keep stirring for another 4-5 minutes. Heat has to be really low. Don’t increase the heat otherwise ladoos won’t come out right. This has been 5 minutes and as you see it has a very nice colour and a nice aroma of roasted flour and butter. So this is ready and I am going to turn this into a bowl. And wait till it cools off to lukewarm before I will add the sugar. Flour mixture has cooled down. It’s very little warm. So you should be able to handle with your fingers. So now it’s time to add the sugar. So this is the last ingredient cardamom powder. And now mix it well together. First I am going to mix it with a spoon and then I will use my fingers. That is the best way to do it. This will take maybe about 1.5 minutes to mix it everything together. So sugar is all mixed so I will make the ladoos. Take about 2 tablespoon of mix and just press it with your palm. And then just use another hand to get the final. So this looks really good. It’s little bit smaller than a golf ball. So another ladoo. 2 tablespoons of mix. Press it between your palm. And then just take it in your other palm for the final touch and see it looks great. This is the last one. Finish it off. They are looking good and ready to serve. Atta ladoos are looking great! This is a healthy sweet. Ladoos are staple sweet in most of the household. Atta ladoos can be enjoyed anytime of the day. Ladoo can be stored in a airtight container for 2-3 weeks. Enjoy. Thank You. Till we meet again, check out more recipes on manjulaskitchen.com.
