‘The difficult task of poaching eggs’ wait, what?! This news makes me feel like a super chef.
"It does what it says" has nothing to do with usefulness James
How to get the camera focus on those biceps…..
oh look, Ben flicked something
I love how into the power tool Ben is.
Theyre so funny 😂 you got a new subscriber for sure
I don’t understand why they were so terrified of the coconut shaver 😂 reminds me of when I was younger in Singapore & the uncles at the wet market would shave hundreds of coconuts a day
Come to Malaysia and you'll see and industrial sized coconut shredder in most wet markets😂😂
3 grown men – 0 Ben – 100 Asians….LOL
pff… the coconat shredder had me laughing.. cuz that shit is easy as heck for us xD
Am I the only one who would actually use the poachies
Catch phase: wonder if the lime and the coconut will mix well
Jamie… Jamie….
What a joke, have a great day!
✌️
Hm. That electric coconut scraper? Ours look a lot scarier.
Please always review together now. 😆❤
Compete only using gadgets from these review videos!
Are you guys trying to out-soyboy My Mythical Morning?
Ben willing to die for us and a coconut – that's real love 🙂
Imagine if they got hurt reviewing the coconut thing… Imagine trying to explain that in an emergency room.
I was quite surprised to see you guys hadn't seen a coconut grater, at least a hand cranked one. I always thought it was a common utensil across the world, I suppose a spoon would suffice if you don't consume as much coconut as south asians would
That coconut scrapper tho, it's too spiky compared to what we used to have in our household. Yeap, i'm from south east asia. 😄
DO NOT OPERATE ROTATING MACHINERY WHILE WEARING GLOVES That instruction book is asking for a major lawsuit.
That coconut greater is very common in the South of India. Most homes in Kerala would have the manual version of this to make grated coconut
Hey, it's that espresso making machine that had the most annoying "amz.ooo" ads
The absolute panic in the episode is GOLD! 😂😂😂
Ben the Brave
when they say £89.99 and less than a day later its 60
https://youtu.be/QpGF6ymWsVw
He didn’t even use rubber gloves?!!! Its do-able man! 😂😂
The coconut machine boils down to how you hold the coconut steadily. The fact that asian grandmoms are so so adept with it (even with the bigger versions) meant that proper technique is the key. That machine is essential to the tasty coconut cream based food we so much love in asia. It is good to see you try it in your own kitchen.
Sorted, specifically Ben, reminded me how much cooking involves chemistry. Like with Mike and his failure to poach eggs. Ben's explanation was very easy to understand.
Has Ben ever considered teaching? Like a professor. I feel he'd be just naturally good at that.
10:26 A+ editing guys! 🤣
I want to see a Sorted Food and Binging with Babish colab.
Also it was weird to see 4 grown men freak out about a coconut grater.
The coconut spinner is such a common gadget in asian countries
Oh lord..all the sri Lankans and indians are rolling their eyes right now..4 grown men scared out of their minds with protective gloves…🤦♀️…we learn how to grate coconuts when we are children..there is an art to it boys..that machine can be used at home for sure. U just need to know how to use it…sigh…
Would love to see you guys do more recipes with that kebab machine 😋 I've been eyeing one up for months but wasn't so sure but I really want one now that lamb looked amazing 😁😁
Ben's smile at 12:50 just warms the heart!
Is anyone else incredibly attracted to Ben right now?
nothing makes me happier than 4 grown men afraid of coconuts lol
Im malaysian and we use a coconut grater sort of like that but much bigger where you have to sit on a stool to grate it.. seeing u guys panicking over that machine was nothing short of adorable😆🤣🤣🤣
“You could make some amazing things on that” ok, im waiting for the video where you cook different things on the kebab grill like when you used the pizza oven for cooking lots of stuff
Pass it on challenge: Jamie is the only one that’s allowed to cook and he has to pick notes written by the other guys every 10 min
Holy frick.
Pussies! about as dangerous as any other tool
Eat a Döner in germany 🙂 there arent places as good as that anywhere else 😛
Just yesterday I saw contestants on an old series of Masterchef Australia using the coconut grinder with no bother at all, it's just a standard kitchen item to them, lol. Regarding Mike's poached eggs, chef Gary Usher demonstrated the trick to a perfect poach was to have a deep pan and deep water so when the egg goes in, because it drops down a good distance it immediately forms that teardrop shape you want. You could try that, or be a lazy moo like me and do them in a small bowl of water in the microwave 🙂
Man these guys are snowflakes
The coconut gadget is a basic staple in almost every kitchen in South India. We had a much bigger power version attached to a stone grinder in my culinary college here in India. However it does have a learning curve to it.
there are not conditions that exist in the universe that would cause me to turn on youtube notifications
I never thought james would be shitting his pants and ben would be the brave one hahaha! I love how Barry "said how much?" Like a less sexier James Bond going shopping lol
The review videos and "pass it on" are my favorites!
NEVER wear gloves when working with spinning equipment. It's a quick way to lose a finger.
They (all 4 of them) disappointed me so very much. Such sissy boys…..SMH I expected more lol 😂
The coconut scraper I have used one similar but I used better gloves and loved it.
Is that dad joke a reference to the very real restaurant in Bolton called Steaks on a Plane? 😂
I’d love to see what else could be made on the rotisserie aside from kebab. I imagine other sliced meat products but I’d love to see something else. Hope you boys do some testing on it in the future.
that coffee maker is a bit useless. If it needs an external device to heat water might as well use a small french press and save the rest to buy more ground coffee
Them being scared of the coconut gadget
While me with my Malaysian genes: * judging them seriously*. While uncles and aunties do this with BARE HANDS 😂😂😂
I bought something very similar from the pound shop. £1 each and they cover the fingers properly but aren't magnetic
Also swirl the water gently along with fresh eggs before you lay them in the water. Keeps the egg together nicely.
What's the big deal with the coconut…
Absolutely LOVED this video!! What knife set would you guys recommend someone buy for the foodies in their life??
"It is not a pleasant experience, let's put it up a bit"…
Famous last words.
Hmmm I could buy 3+ espresso makers or one portable one…
Saw this and thought of you guys! "Smart Bacon Express The Bacon Toaster"
Those gloves are trash! Just use your bare hands.
As a Filipino, we have was is called a kudkuran for grated coconut. It's essentially a wooden step stool with a very serrated round scraper at the end. In slang, it's nicknamed "caballoa" (horse) since it looks like one. The only way I know how to get grated coconut
If you're going camping, just have instant coffee, it's not camping if you're not committed to the misery.
I have magnetic mitts, but then in cat paw version. Which also covers more of your fingers and looks super cute on the fridge!
Weak! Old Asian ladies can do better with that tiny coconut shredder. They use bigger scarier machines and they do it without gloves!
I always knew Ebbers is the most gung ho 'manliest' out of the lot
.smh..wow! Spineless! The whole lot!
@SORTEDfood
The gloves that come with it are cut resistant. They look like very low grade but the cut resistant portion is the clothed part. the rubber part is made to grip. It also looks like they are the wrong size for Ben which is the most unsafe thing. We wear them in factories and warehouses where hands and fingers can get crushed or cut by equipment. and more than anything they are going to hold the parts together so they can be reattached at the hospital.
I was crying so hard with laughter – love the format where the 2 chefs are together all the time.
Ebbers — we don't deserve you.
Why did they all get so weird about the coconut scraper? Very Strange.
Coconut shredder–James said Screw That while Ben said Well Hang On A Minute!
When they both yelled at the same time GET BACK IN THE KITCHEN to James. Did anyone else think of the Fred and George Weasley? No just me?
I'm just going to throw it out there, but I doubt that anyone in the sorted kitchen has ever used a power tool before.
Pussies!
My mom has put magnets on her oven mits for decades!
Lol oh you guys
I loved watching james freak out before the coconut masher is even plugged in
An then barry and mike once ben starts using it
An he is just trying to see if it works
An jamie, definitely a dad joke that one🤪
I'm still waiting for them to do a cook off with gadgets only.
Loved James running away like a baby from the coconut thingy
Y’all should do a challenge using only the gadgets
Ben’s boyish daredevil smile at 12:51 is truly the hottest thing I’ve seen this year 😂
MeoMitt isn’t even better than a bit of cardboard
I can see those oven mitts being really useful for me, if, as James and Ebbers said, the parts around your fingers were just a bit deeper. I have pretty small hands, so a lot of oven mitts are too big for me, and depending on what I'm trying to grab (like a particularly full tray of cookies), with silicone mitts, it can be pretty difficult because to get purchase where my fingers are, I am forced to grip the tray further in
My home has had that coconut shaving machine since decades, and it works just fine lol
It is clever if you don't have an oven glove or dry teatowl… 🤣🤣🤣
That coconut thing worried me more, what if a blade shot loose lol
I knew how Southeast Asians feel about the coconut meat scraper lol. You see it everyday in the wet market haha
5:21 "This looks like the kind of thing I don't wanna review with Ben…" Can we have a themed episode based on this???
I was shaving coconuts since I was 6 lol and I would sit on a medieval contraption with a bowl and one of those blades hahaha
So I told my wife I bought a car made of spaghetti. She didn't believe me until I drove pasta…
Feel like there's more to Ben's comment… "I know my silicone" 😂😂
Please do m&s advent calendar 😂🤣
White people
No one, absolutely no one after handling such a dangerous gadget:
Ben: Very firm flesh.
So funny to see you guys runaway from the coconut meat scraper 🤣 we have a beefier variety of that thing here in the Philippines and is widely used in wet markets 😁
That espresso maker is only $65USD so idk why it would be more in GBP with conversion?? I’ve seen it before and I was like “but it’s not even $70??” so I was very confused and looked it up to be sure haha
I just noticed Jamie has Hazel eyes.
I feel like the coconut scraper needs a massive redesign to work well.
