dessert too? Well then stay tuned for this video where I share with you my
dessert to lose weight – Healthy Peppermint Patty Recipe. Now I don’t know
about you, but once a day, I usually like to have something that’s a little bit
sweet for a snack. I usually crave some kind of a protein bar or something like that but protein bars you buy at the
store are not always healthy. So I’d love to make my own it’s full of healthy
ingredients. It also allows me to really keep my abs 365 days of the year without
feeling restrictive. Now let’s get into the ingredients, we’re going to be
using Cacao Paste. Cacao Paste, is if you can access it, it’s really healthy it’s
full of minerals and Magnesium but if you can’t get a hold of cacao paste then
you can use Lily’s chocolate chips. Lily’s chocolate chips are going to be
sweetened with Erythritol and Stevia. We’re going to be using Coconut Butter,
Coconut Flakes, Chopped Almonds but you can use any kind of chopped nuts
Erythritol and some Organic Peppermint flavoring. The amounts of everything are
going to be in the description box below so if you want to make the recipe then
just check the description. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to melt the
cacao paste in a double boiler. To make a double boiler, all we need to do is put a
pot of water with about a inch of boiling water on the stove and turn it
down to low. Place a heat proof bowl over top. Then place the cacao paste
inside and allow it to melt. While we’re allowing the cacao paste to melt, we’re
just going to mix all of our ingredients except for the Erythritol into a bowl. We just want to mix it up. Now we’re
going to put half of our organic peppermint flavoring into this mixture
and mix it up. All right once our cacao paste is melted, I just
transferred it into this dish to make it a little bit easier to pour. I’m just
going to pour it into a container and then I’m gonna add our LeConteau, which
is a powdered erythritol and the rest of our mint extract. How much mint extract
you put in the recipe is really up to you. It depends how minty you like it so
as you make it you can just taste test and see if it satisfies your level of
mintiness that you like. So I’m going taste it now. I’m going to add in a
little bit more mint. So now what we’re gonna do is we’re
going to take a mini muffin tin. I like to use these silicone muffin tins. It
just makes the peppermint patties really easy to remove, but you could you can use
regular mini muffin tins. You could also use a regular-sized muffin tin but I
just find that the regular size is just a little bit too big. So this works
perfectly so what we’re gonna do is we’re just going to fill our mini muffin
tins about halfway with the coconut butter mixture first. So this is just a
really small batch that I’m making for you guys. All right now, we’re gonna fill
the muffin tins with the chocolate on top. All right now that these are filled up,
I’m just going to place them in the fridge and allow them to harden. So these have been sitting
in the fridge for about 20 minutes. They’re hardened now. So they’re ready. So
I’m just gonna pop them out of the little molds and this is what the
finished product looks like. It’s just this perfect little bite. It’s a
great snack so let’s give it a taste. Absolutely delicious! it tastes just like
a peppermint patty. The almonds and the coconut flakes give it a really nice
texture. It gives a little a little bit of crunch. I hope you enjoyed the recipe
