Today I will be making Falooda. Falooda is best described, a dessert beverage. Falooda is a corn vermicelli. This is a delicious combination of layered Falooda with milk, sweet basil and ice cream. I like to serve
this with mango. This is an anytime snack. Falooda is popular with Mumbai roadside vendor. This recipe will serve 4. To make Falooda we will need: 2 1/2 cups of milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar. I have already boiled the milk with sugar and reduced the milk to about 1 1/2 cup and have refrigerated it to make it chilled. 2 tablespoons of sweet basil seeds (tukmaria or sabza seeds). This you can buy in Indian grocery stores. Soak it in about 1 cup of
cold water. In very few minutes, it will become transparent and will look like this. About 1 ounce of Falooda. This is a corn vermicelli. I have already boiled them in about 3 cups of water. Boil it till they become tender. Take out the water and this should also be
chilled. 1 cup of fresh mango pulp. About 6 scoops of ice cream. We also need about 1/4 cup of finely chopped mango for garnishing. I am ready to assemble the Falooda. All the ingredients should be chilled. So, first I will put some mango pulp, I like to use the tall glass because it looks really pretty. Then we will put some Falooda, and basil seeds, now we will pour some milk and ice cream. Maybe a little bit more of ice cream. Then little more falooda. And we are going to garnish this with mango. Falooda is ready. It looks very tempting, colorful and very delicious. Falooda with ice cream
and mango just a perfect beverage dessert for hot summer days. You can also prepare
everything in advance and assemble it when you are just ready to serve. Enjoy this with
