”But if time was what you needed just to gain a little perspective.” ”We were on a break!” Attention all ‘Friends’ fans! We have some exciting news to share that is, just so you know not that common, and is a big deal! Superfans that are feeling especially nostalgic about the beloved NBC sitcom can now celebrate the show through a pop up museum that’s coming to New York City in honor of the 25th Anniversary of the show’s premiere. The immersive pop up experience will feature memorable settings like Chandler and Joey’s recliners and foosball table; Monica and Rachel’s purple door; and of course that narrow staircase, you know what I’m talking about: “Pivot! Pivot! Pivot!” ”Shut up, shut up, shut up!” The Soho pop up will also feature a re-created Central Perk, orange couch and all; a fountain area inspired by the opening credits, props and costumes from the show, and the pop up will also give fans a chance to learn some of Monica’s cleaning tips and even some of Phoebe’s favorite things: ”Just try and think of nice, calm things.” ”Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, doorbells and sleigh bells…” The ‘Friends’ pop-up news comes just weeks after Warner Bros. parent company WarnerMedia, announced that all 10 seasons of the beloved series will be streaming exclusively on its new HBO Max service when it launches in the spring of 2020. The month long pop up experience opens Sept. 7 and runs through Oct. 6. For more friends updates head over to THR.com and until next time for The Hollywood Reporter News I’m Neha Joy.
