Are you looking for a healthy snack or dessert that does not only taste great but is also packed with vital nutrients? Then stay tuned, because in this video I will show you how to make a delicious high-protein chocolate chia pudding Hello everyone! Thank you guys so
much for joining me. My name is Ramin from PalvanFitness. I’m a fitness coach and plant-based athlete. And this channel is all about becoming your strongest version physically and mentally. In today’s recipe I’m going to show you how to make a chocolate chia pudding with only 6 ingredients. The ingredients you will need are chia seeds, of course, your favorite plant drink, half a banana, cocoa powder for that chocolate taste, some maple syrup for sweetness, and one secret ingredient that really pumps up the protein content. And no it’s not protein powder. My recipes are all made without the use of supplements. Because anyone can create a recipe, add two scoops of protein powder and later on call it high-protein. If I call a recipe high protein, or anything else you will know for sure that it only contains whole food plant sources. So with that being said, let’s jump right into the recipe video. First add half a banana to a blender. Next up is our secret ingredient, which as you can see are white beans. For the chocolate taste add two teaspoons of cocoa powder. Cocoa powder is a great source of antioxidants. To blend this all up, add one cup of your favorite plant drink. To mix everything together, use a jar or bowl. If you’re more of a sweet person you can add one teaspoon of maple syrup. Next add two tablespoons of chia seeds, by absorbing a lot of water the chia seeds will give this chia pudding a smooth texture. Stir well, to evenly distribute the chia seeds in the liquid. Now cover everything up with a lid or kitchen towel and put the chia pudding in the fridge for at least a couple of hours. That’s basically it. The chia seeds will absorb the water and you will end up with this pudding-like texture. As a topping you can use raspberries, and some cacao nibs. Now this is more of a snack or dessert. If you’re feeling more hungry you can also prepare it in a big bowl, and top it off with the other half of the banana for example. As you’ve seen the secret ingredient are white beans. I came across this idea in one of the videos I saw on the pickuplimes channel. Now white beans are great, because they are neutral and taste and can be added to almost any meal to pump up the protein content. I’ve created some more awesome recipes with white beans, which I will share in future videos. So, make sure you hit that subscribe button below to get notified. Now enough of the white beans, we’re here for the chia pudding. You probably know that chia
seeds are rich in omega-3. And this recipe provides 3.6 grams of omega-3s in the form of ALA But be aware that ALA is the less active form of the omega-3 fatty acids, and that it has to be converted to the more active forms EPA and DHA. If you’re more interested in this topic you can watch my video on omega-3s right here. Next up is iron. This chia pudding has more iron than your local gym by providing some incredible 8mg of non-heme iron per serving. Non-heme iron, which is found in plant foods, is not as readily absorbed as heme iron, which can only be found in animal sources. We can increase the absorption, however, by adding vitamin C, which in this recipe comes in the form of delicious raspberries. Chia seeds are also a great source of calcium and the whole chia pudding covers more than one-third of your daily needs. Last but not least, this recipe contains 15 grams of protein with all the essential amino acids, which is not bad for a snack or dessert in my opinion. That’s it for this video. Thank you guys so much for watching as always you can find the full recipe on my blog and I will put a link to it in the description below.
