Welcome to Lata’s Kitchen Kheer can be made with many things like rice
kheer, semolina kheer, lotus seeds kheer etc Today I’m going to make Lauki Kheer Lets see the ingredients
required for making Lauki kheer Bottle Gourd – 500 gm,
washed, peeled and grated Milk Powder – 1/4 cup Sugar – 1 tbsp Almonds – 10,
soaked in water, peeled then chopped Cardamom Powder – 1/4 tsp Lets start making Lauki Kheer Take grated bottle gourd in
a cooker, add 1/4 cup water Cover the lid, turn on the
gas and cook till 2 whistles In the meanwhile boil milk in a wok Simmer the milk for 10 minutes Keep stirring it occasionally Bottle gourd is cooked, turn off the gas Its been 10 minutes simmering the
milk, now add milk powder to this Mix and simmer for another 10 minutes Cooker’s pressure has
released, open the lid Turn boiled bottle gourd into a strained Squeeze the bottle gourd
to remove the extra water Its been 10 minutes, milk is
now much thicker and creamier Now add bottle gourd to it Mix well and cook for 5 minutes Now add cardamom powder Its done, turn off the gas Add sugar Mix the sugar well Take it out into a serving bowl and put it into
a refrigerator once it is at room temperature Lauki rabri tastes best chilled Garnish it with dry fruits Lauki Kheer is ready, its
very tasty and creamy You can serve it as a dessert
