Welcome all! Papa G here. Today I present
a low carbohydrate dessert treat A caramel cream custard with a light and creamy whipped
topping. At less than three and a half carbohydrates per serving, it’s a creamy and
sweet low carbohydrate option. Let’s get started. We’ll begin with five large egg yolks.
This recipe works a lot easier if you use a pourable mixing bowl here. To the
egg yolks, add a pinch of salt; a sugar substitute equal to one cup of regular
sugar; some vanilla extract; and some sugar-free caramel syrup. I’ll leave a
link in the description below on the one I used. Give that a mix with a whisk to
combine. Now add two cups of heavy cream and whisk that up again until combined. Place four ramekins on a nine by thirteen inch
baking pan and equally divided our custard mix into each. Now pour some
water into the baking pan until it reaches about halfway up the ramekins. Place the custard in a preheated three hundred and fifty
degree oven for about an hour. While our custard bakes, we’ll make our topping. In
a medium mixing bowl, add some heavy cream; a sugar substitute equal to about
a quarter cup of regular sugar; and some sugar-free caramel syrup. Beat with a
hand mixer until nice and fluffy. cover and store in the refrigerator. When
our custard is finished baking, let cool completely then chill in the
refrigerator for at least an hour. When our custard is thoroughly chilled, top
with our caramel flavored whipping cream and enjoy. There you have it folks! My
