Namaste. My name is Neelima Mittal Puffed Lotus Seed Dessert We all make this but I am making it a little differently. It tastes very good like this, so do try Ingredients Puffed Lotus Seeds – 25 grams Almond Powder – 1 tsp Sugar – 50 grams Saffron – 5 to 6 strands Cardamom Powder – 1/4 tsp We are not putting in too many ingredients Clarified Butter – 1/2 tsp Milk – 1/2 litre Lets start We will wash the Lotus Seeds first I have cut them in half, it’s not necessary though We wash them so that they become soft These are done Now we will keep them like this for some time Till then we will make other preparations Switch on the gas I am adding little less than 1/2 tsp clarified butter Make this dish in a wide utensil as milk dries faster Fry pan or a Wok will be just fine Now we will add Puffed Lotus Seeds Mix them well with Clarified Butter We don’t have to cook them as such Now we will add milk. You don’t need to boil the milk you can add it as such as well Because in any case it will boil while making Kheer Saffron Almond Powder I am not adding Raisins It tastes good as such and also we don’t want to over-power the taste of Lotus Seeds Though you can add if you really like them I am not adding Milk has come to a boil, lower the heat Milk will thicken in some time We don’t have to do much. Stir it when the milk starts rising just like any other kheer Kheer is almost ready. Let’s add sugar We have been boiling it on low-medium heat for 10 min We have added sugar Let’s add Cardamom Powder – 1/4 tsp Boil till sugar melts Then Kheer will be ready It has a very nice flavour You can increase or decrease the sugar as per taste Kheer is ready, switch off the gas It has taken about 15 min to make the kheer It’s very tasty, do make it like this Let’s serve it now Garnish with Almond flakes Puffed Louts Seed Dessert (Makhane Ki Kheer) is ready Do make it and share your views with me Please Subscribe my channel for many more interesting recipes and tips
