Hey guys, it’s Ro! Welcome to another Nerdy Nummies! Today, I’m going to be making something
that has been requested forever! And I’m so happy to be finally doing it.
I got so many requests for something My Little Pony. So today I’m
going to be making rainbow cupcakes and decorating them My Little Pony style!
Meeeeeewww! Before we get started, I just want to say this
cute little apron was made by Huckleberry Baby. She makes a lot of retro-style aprons, and
she’s made all my geeky aprons! The Dr. Who one, the Tetris one, and now my Brony Pony cutie
pie apron. Alright, let’s get started! The things we will need for rainbow cupcakes
will be: Vegetable oil, big mixing bowl, white cake mix, so that we can dye it different
colors! Water and 4 eggs. Remember, we are just going to be using the
egg whites. Now let’s put it all together! My Little Pony, My Little Pony, Raaaaa-Raaaaa-Raaaaa-Raaaaa-Raaaaaaaaaaaa! Now you’re gonna mix for 2 minutes. Hahaha! It’s not plugged in! Oh sad! Electricity helps! Where’s my electricity magical My Little
Pony when you need her? Useless! Just useless! OH GOD!!!!!! OH GOD!!! Once your batter is all mixed, we are going
to be dying it the colors of the rainbow. So what I did is I got 6 bowls, they’re
plastic bowls. And 6 spoons so that the cleanup will be really, really easy. And we’ve got food
coloring dye, we have red, yellow, orange, green, blue and purple. Separate the cake
mix evenly into each bowl, just eyeball it. Alright, I’m gonna start with purple, squeeze
a little in, take your spoon, mix it up. Oh look at that! The cake batter is turning
this really pretty purple, that’s what we want. We just finished dying all of our cake dough,
look at that! Do-do-do-do-do-do! Rrrrrrrainbow! Now you’re gonna start with purple, you’re
gonna take a little, like a half, half a scoop? Half a… Half a scoop, put it on the bottom.
And I’ve just lined this cupcake tray with little paper liners. You don’t technically need
them, but I like them because it makes it non-messy to clean up. Not very messy! Ta-da! As you can see we have purple in all of our
cupcake trays. Now you’re gonna do half a scoop of blue, and then green, and then yellow,
and then orange, and then top it off with red. Once you’ve got all the rainbow batter in
your little cupcake trays, like so, you’re just gonna gently, tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap
on the table. I’m sorry this is kind of loud! And it will settle, you don’t need to worry
about the dyes inter-mixing, they just don’t do it. I don’t know what the science is but they
don’t inter-mix, they will stay separate. And then you’re gonna heat your oven to
350 and bake for 20 minutes, and fa-dawwww! You will have rainbow cupcakes. Once your cupcakes are done baking, and they’re
fresh out of the oven, make sure they’ve had plenty of time to cool. You’re just gonna
open it up, pull down the wrapper. Oooooh so pretty! And then we’re gonna break it in half, so
you can see what it will look like on the inside. Ohhh, so cool! Now we are going to decorate and frost our
cupcakes. Each little pony has 2 cupcakes. One of them we’re going to decorate as a
cutie mark, and the other one we’re going to stick them on the back. These little ponies I got
in a set at Toys-R-Us. And I’ll put a link down below if you’re interested in getting that
set. They’re so cute! You can put them on cupcakes as a decoration
and afterwards you can play with them. The are toys heee-heee-heee! This is vanilla buttercream frosting, I’ve
pre-dyed them different colors to be My Little Pony colors, you can make them whatever colors
you’d like. Now that we’ve got all of our cupcakes frosted,
we are gonna make the cutie decorations. And you can use anything that’s mold-able,
you can use Starbursts or Laffy Taffy, but I’m gonna be using fondant today. Now we’ve got all of our cutie mark cupcakes
done, dew-dew, I’ve added little, uh, sprinkle confetti for Pinkie Pie, because I thought,
she likes to party and that’s really, really cute. We’ve got all these guys all done, and now
you’re gonna take your ponies and stick them on the back one. I put these in the freezer for
just a little bit so they’d be really, really firm, and ponies wouldn’t drown in frosting.
Very important, don’t drown the ponies! Ta-da! All of the My Little Pony cupcakes are all finished! Thank you guys for suggesting these, I know
that I’ve been meaning to do a My Little Pony something for a very long time. And, this
is the first time that I got to make rainbow cupcakes on Nerdy Nummies show, yum-yum-yum-yum-yum! If you have any other suggestions for any
other Nerdy Nummies please, let me know! Leave me a comment down below, and I will
do my best to make them happen! OK, thanks you guys bye-bye! My Little Pony, friendship, friendship. My Little Pony! Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa what are you wearing? I don’t know! I read books! Me-me-me-me-me-me-me!
