hey everyone it’s James from foods and
today I will show you how to make this low calorie no-bake key lime pie now this is absolutely delicious and
since it’s low calories it’s perfect for this time of year everyone is starting to
watch their weight and it doesn’t mean cutting out desserts completely just
reduce the calories in your desserts and this is the perfect recipe for that this is Paul from Ottawa Canada and your watching
Fun foods so keep watching and I’ll show you step-by-step how to make these start off
with one package of sugar free lime jell-o I have that in a small bowl right here
and I’m going to add to that half a cup of boiling hot water and just mix this
up until all that powder has dissolved completely ok when you’re happy that
that’s dissolved pretty good just set that aside and
we’ll come back to that shortly ok what i have here in a large bowl I
have eight ounces of cream cheese softened at room temperature and i’m
just going to beat this until it’s nice and smooth and you can of course scrape down the
bowl bit halfway through when you’re satisfied with how that looks we’re just
going to scrape off our beaters so that all the ingredients will be in the bowl
not on our beaters so now what you want to do is take your
gelatin you want to slowly add it as we mix this up ok that’s that next we’re going to add
one tablespoon of lime juice and you can squeeze a lime i’m just using this store bought lime
juice because it’s easier add one table spoon of that and i have here a lime and
i’m going to use the peel of one was going to grade the peel and i’m going to
write about half of it doesn’t eat a whole bunch and we just want to stir that in really
good next what I have here is light cool whip you can use the whole cool
whip there’s not much difference in calories
if you want but i’m using a light one just to keep this on the lighter side
and i’m going to use two cups of that and we’re going to fold it in so here’s
one cup and here’s the second cup and all you gotta do is fold this end
just work it around and fold fold don’t want to over mix this just simply
make sure it’s all incorporated and you’ll know you’re done when he has
this nice even consistent color throughout ok now we’re going to take a 9-inch pie
dish and I’m just going to lightly spray it with some cooking spray then we’re going to take our filling and
just fill the entire pie dish and just spread it out nice and evenly ok now that this is all filled up and
ready to go we’ll just set this in the refrigerator
for at least three hours three to four hours is perfect it will cut this up and slice up a piece
for you so now we’re going to do is cut into it
and cut a nice piece out well thanks everyone for watching I hope
