Hey, it’s Ro! And today we’re gonna make
another Nerdy Nummies! I got so many requests for the little cute meme, Nyan Cat. Things that we’re gonna use today will be
1 box cake mix, make sure it’s the white cake, not the yellow cake, otherwise
the colors won’t come out right. We’re gonna use 4 eggs, 1-1/4 cup of water,
1/3 cup of vegetable oil, pam baking spray to grease the pan, or you can
use anything else that you want. A whisk, a mixing bowl, and a 1 round cake
pan, I’m using an 8 inch. I’m just gonna cut the cake mix open, and
mix all these things together. Once your batter is done you’re gonna evenly
distribute them into 6 different bowls, I got these 6 different paper bowls,
and you’re gonna dye them each of the colors of the rainbow. We got red, orange, yellow, green, blue and
purple with food coloring dye. Grease the pan right meow! To make this kind of cake, it’s a rainbow
cake, you add each layer at a time. So you’re gonna start with red, which will
be at the bottom. And you just shake it, so that it will spread
to each edge of the pan. Like this! You would think that when you put all these
colors together that they would just mush together and make like a really
ugly brown, but they don’t! I don’t know how they do it! Some kind of
cake magic! Meow that’s science! While this is setting, I’m gonna let this
sit for about 10 minutes and that’s perfect because I’m gonna preheat the oven
for 350 and you cook this for about 34 minutes. And, you just want to let this
sit, just let those colors sit there. Once your cake’s done baking, I took this
out. Make sure it’s had plenty of time to cool, and then I took a cake leveler,
and then just cut off the top so you could see what it would look like in
the inside. Meow we’re gonna frost! You’re gonna use uh, vanilla, um, buttercream
frosting. And remember you don’t want to use anything whipped, you
want them creamy and thick! So that the fondant will stick on top of it. And just go all the way around the cake. My cake’s all frosted, looking good on all
sides, you can miss some corners like here and here, because the fondant’s gonna
cover it. So we’re gonna put this in the freezer for about 10 minutes and we’re
gonna start working with Fondant! And roll it out, it’s fondant time meow! I’m going to take my rolling pin, and roll
out blue fondant on top of wax paper with a little bit of powdered sugar sprinkled
everywhere, so that’s what’s underneath here. And that’s so
the fondant doesn’t stick to the wax paper or to your table. Now I’m going to attempt to put the fondant
on top of the cake, I’m gonna roll it on my rolling pin, I saw the pros doing
this, but I’m not a pro… So, we’ll see how this goes. And then, they… Pfft, pfft! Hey that works! Perfect! And you’ll see that powdered sugar is on
top of the fondant, and you don’t need to worry about that, because you can just take a,
a wet paper towel, and just lightly brush it off, because it’s just sugar, it’s
just powdered sugar. Meow you’re gonna take your knife, and you’re
gonna cut off all the excess fondant, all the way around. Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur! Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr! Beautiful! Here are all the fondants that I have, I have
tons of rainbow colors of fondant. If you want fondant, this is the house to
come to, I have way too much! What I’ve been doing, is just taking a piece
of fondant, rolling it out really small and putting it in a line, I’m gonna
do the last 1. Cherry, you want to get the cherry Pop-Tart,
because that is gonna have the pink frosting on top… Like dis! And now we’re gonna make kitty’s face! Boop! I put a bunch of white vanilla buttercream
frosting into this little squirt bag, and meow it’s time to frost! And meow for the final reveal. Huh, da-nee! Nyan Cat! Thanks you guys for suggesting it
and thanks for watching! If you have any other suggestions, or any
other ideas for any other Nerdy Nummies, please leave me a comment and let me know.
And if you have any other meme ideas let me know, because, this was my first
meme cake. I would like to do another 1! Bye-bye!
