Hi there! I am Karen Grete from Scandinavia Today. I’m going to make a delicious Orange Mousse. One of my favorite dessert. It’s so refreshing. Pretty easy to make. I think everybody will like it. Here in front of me we have all the ingredients. I have four egg yolks. I’m going to whip them with half a cup of sugar. Then I have orange juice. I have the orange zest from one orange. I have two cups of orange juice. I have one cup of whipping cream which I am going to whip of course. I have the four egg whites here and I am also going to whip them. Then I have half a cup of water and a tablespoon of gelatin. I am going to dissolve that in the cold water. Afterwards I’m going to heat up the orange juice and dissolve the gelatin in the hot orange juice. So here we go So first I’m going to mix the four egg yolks with half a cup of sugar. I want to whip it a lot. Alright so I whipped it until it was well mixed up and the eggs turned lighter in color. That means it’s done. Okay now I’m going to first of all, let me mix the gelatin into the cold water. Let it dissolve in here while I am heating up the orange juice. Put it on high temperature. Here we go. Now it is time to whip the egg whites. Now I have to whip the heavy cream. So here we have the whipped cream and here are the egg whites and they’re stiff so they won’t fall out if you turn it upside down. So now I can mix the rest of it. So I poured in all the orange juice to the egg mixture and I also just added the orange zest. Of course the orange juice was not hot any longer. But still I want to let it cool down a little bit before I add the whipped egg whites and the heavy cream. I am folding in the whipped egg whites. I let the egg yolks and the juice cool down before I start mixing it up here. Next I am adding the whipped cream. I put a little bit of side which I can use for decorating. So mix it in. Blend it in carefully. Then I’m going to leave it in the refrigerator for a while…. ….before I serve it. Now you might want to serve it in a big bowl However I like to serve my orange mousse either in a little individual serving glass and put a little bit of whipped cream on it. If you like, maybe a little strawberry to give it a pretty color. I have an orange a little bit more than half an orange. I cut it off and I scraped out the inside. Then I also like to serve it in the orange orange mousse here. And again put a little bit of whipped cream on it. You can sprinkle a little orange on top. That looks pretty nice too. mmm so good!
