White bread – 4 slices Sugar – 1 cup Milk – ½ liter Sugar – 1 tbsp We will make rabri from milk and add this sugar into it. Saffron – 20-25 threads Green cardamom – 4 Chironji – 1 tbsp Almonds – 4 Pistachios – 8-10 Ghee – ½ cup (for frying bread) For making shahi tukda we will prepare sugar syrup first. Take sugar in utensil. Add ½ cup water in 1 cup sugar. Turn on the gas and cook until sugar melts completely. On other side make rabri from milk. After this keep stirring the milk. Meanwhile thinly slice cashews and almonds. Peel cardamom and make powder. We have cooked syrup for 2-3 minutes more after it got melted. Bring the flame to minimum. Syrup is ready; turn off the gas. Place ghee on flame for heating. Keep utter care of rabri. Stir the milk really nicely as it should not stick to the bottom. When milk will get thick in consistency rabri will be ready. Cut bread slices into two parts. You can cut slices into square or triangular shape. Ghee is hot and now we will fry slices. Place bread in ghee. Keep the flame medium. Flip the side when roasted from beneath. Take out the bread when they get golden brown in color. Like wise fry all slices. Now dip slices in syrup. Take one slice, dip in syrup and soak for 10-15 seconds. Rabri is also ready; don’t thicken it too much. Turn off the gas and add 1 tbsp sugar in rabri. Add cardamom powder and saffron threads as well. Rabri is ready; take it out in a bowl. Now we will garnish the slices with rabri and dry fruits. Take 1 tsp rabri and layer it thinly on bread slice. Now sprinkle dry fruits on the top. Spread almonds, pistachios and Chironji. Appetizing shahi tukda is ready. It is very easy to prepare shahi tukda.
