STAYING BEHIND. HOWEVER MOST PEOPLE ARE TOLD TO EVACUATE. CRAIG JUST GOT AND UPDATE. THIS IS THE NEW FORECAST TRACK HERE. THERE ARE SOME CHANGES TO IT. LET’S START FIRST OFF WITH HERE AND I WILL TELL YOU WHAT THOSE CHANGES ARE. THE STORM IS NOW MOVING TO THE NORTHWEST. THE ZERO 980 DUE WEST AND 305 IS DOING THAT DIRECTION. IT IS SLOWLY PULLING AWAY FROM THE CUBAN COAST AND SLOWLY GETTING CLOSER TO THE FLORIDA KEYS. WHAT WE WOULD LOOK FOR WHEN THE STORM WILL TRY TO GET STRONGER AND MOVE QUICKLY, SO FAR IT HASN’T DONE THAT. IT HAS BEEN BOTH OF THE TIME IT WAS IN CUBA LEVELING OFF. THIS IS A CATEGORY THREE MOVING NORTHWEST. THAT AREA HERE IS 175 MILES PER HOUR HURRICANE WHEN. — WIND. THE FURTHER SOUTH WE GET, THE STRONGER THE WINDS ARE. HERE IS YOUR FIRST FORECAST, SUNDAY AT EIGHT A GRAM — 8 AM, THE STORM IS PRACTICALLY ON TOP OF KEY WEST. THE ONLY CHANGE HERE AND THERE IS NOT A LOT OF CHANGE TO THIS POINT, THE HURRICANE IS NOW AN — A CATEGORY THREE STORM. THE EYE WALL HAS BROKEN DOWN A BIT. IT IS STILL A BAD SITUATION BUT NOT AS BAD AS A CATEGORY FOUR OR CATEGORY FIVE. MIAMI IS NOW INTO THE HURRICANE FORCE GUST. THE WIN IS GETTING STRONGER AND STRONGER AS WE GET THROUGH THE NIGHT. HURRICANE FORCE WHEN IT’S JUST WEST OF US AND IS JUST COVERING SOUTH FLORIDA. THE WIND IS BLOWING AT 60 MILES AND HOUR AND THE GUSTS — 60 MILES PER HOUR AND THE WIND GUST IS GOING AT 90 MILES PER HOUR. HOPEFULLY THERE IS A LOT OF THE KEYS THAT IS LEFT, BUT WE ARE KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON IT. THERE COULD BE SOME WOBBLE HERE ON SUNDAY, MOST LIKELY IT WILL BE THE CENTER AND THE CORE WHICH WILL BE IN THIS AREA BASED ON THE MODEL. NOW THE FACT THAT THE WIN IS DOWN TO CATEGORY THREE, THIS DOESN’T NECESSARILY MEAN THAT THE STORM HAS WEEKEND, IT IS PUSHING A LOT OF WATER OVER A LARGE AREA. WHEN IT REACHES THE COAST IT WILL PILE UP. HE COULD REACH UP TO 16 FEET IN SOME PARTS OF FLORIDA — IT COULD REACH UP TO 16 FEET IN SOME PARTS OF FLORIDA. IT IS NOW A CATEGORY STORM — IT IS NOW CATEGORY THREE STORM APPROACHING FLORIDA. THERE IS TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF GROWTH AND A LOT OF HOMES THAT ARE NOT READY FOR THE HURRICANE. I WAS TALKING TO SOME FRIENDS THERE, SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE THE WIND IS GOING TO BLOW AND WE ARE GOING TO GET THE RAIN. TAMPA HAS NOT HAD A HURRICANE LIKE THIS IN OVER 100 YEARS. I THINK BEFORE SOME PEOPLE IN TAMPA BELIEVE IT WAS LIKE THE STORE BEFORE WHEN IT WAS FORECASTED TO HIT CHARLOTTE BUT THEN IT TURNED. BUT THAT WILL PROBABLY NOT HAPPEN THIS TIME, IF ANYTHING THE STORM WOULD DRIFT A LITTLE BIT WEST AND EAST. THE FORECAST CONFIDENCE IS LOW — IS HIGHER. WE KNEW THAT HURRICANE CHARLEY WAS GOING TO THE EAST. WE KNEW THAT IT WAS GOING TO TAMPA AND THE NORTHEAST. THIS ONE HOWEVER IS NOT GOING NORTHEAST BUT IT IS GOING A LITTLE WEST OF NORTH. BY LATER ON SUNDAY, THE WINDS ARE COMING DOWN. NOT UNTIL MONDAY MORNING WHERE THE WIND SPEED RETURN TO NORMAL. THERE WE ARE BY MONDAY, THE THREAT IS NOW IN THE PANHANDLE WHERE THE STORM IS FLOODING AS WELL AS IT IS MOVING ON OFF. THE HURRICANE WHEN LOOKS LIKE THIS WITH BIG IMPACT. IT IS JUST WEST OF US. NOW DO YOU MOVE EAST TO GET AWAY FROM IT. NO BECAUSE THE WIN IS STRONGER EAST AS WELL AS WELL AS. DON’T GO ANYWHERE, JUST STAY WHERE YOU ARE. YOU SEE HERE ON THIS PICTURE THAT IS MOVING NORTH. IF ANYTHING, WE ARE NOT FEELING AS BAD ABOUT AS THE INTENSITY OF THE HURRICANE THAT IT MIGHT NOT RAMP UP AS HIGH AS IT WAS INITIALLY FORECASTED. WE ARE LOOKING AT THE GRAPHIC THAT YOU PUT TOGETHER AND IT IS VERY CLEAR. THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THIS TOGETHER. AS FAR AS THIS ADVISORY GOES WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR US AND THE POSSIBILITY OF THE STORM SURGE ON EAST COAST, DOES THIS AFFECT IT AT ALL? THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE WIND FIELD IS SLOWLY EXPANDING. WHAT IS HAPPENING IS THAT THE STRONG WINDS ARE GETTING FURTHER AND FURTHER AWAY FROM THE CENTER, BECAUSE OF THAT THERE COULD BE SIGNIFICANT STORM SURGES IN THE BAY. WHEN YOU PILE UP THE WATER IN THE BAY IT CAN GO ANYWHERE, SO THIS MAKES THE SOUTH A HUGE CONCERN AS FAR — AS WELL AS FOR THE KEYS WHEN IT COMES TO THIS CATEGORY THREE STORM. WHAT DOES MONDAY LOOK LIKE AND GOING INTO NEXT WEEK? MANY OF YOU WILL BE WITHOUT POWER AND THE SUN WILL COME OUT. IT WILL BE REALLY HOT AND HUMID. MONDAY WE WILL SEE THAT THERE ARE TREE LIMBS SCATTERED AND YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO HEAD OUT AND CHECK ON THINGS. YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO MOVE A LITTLE BIT OF DEBRIS AWAY FROM YOUR FRONT DOOR. BUT I THINK THE POWER OUTAGES WILL BE RATHER SIGNIFICANT. THE CREWS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RESPOND UNTIL MONDAY TO START THE RESTORATION EFFORTS.
